Bookmark monsters. DIY

Allow your imagination to run wild. I began by searching silhouette images on Google. I mainly needed ideas for male figures between the ages of 5-9, but you can make these for male or female of any age. It doesn't even have to be a silhouette. Like I said....allow your imagination to run wild...

Here's the list of things you need

* needle
* thread
* glue (optional but very helpful)
* felt ( I bought a pack of 8×10 at Walmart craft section)
* scissors
* bottoms (optional)
* imagination :)

Begin by cutting out pieces for the top and back of your bookmark. My bookmarks are about 2 1/2 inches wide and about 6 1/2 inches long.

then, cut out pieces for your bookmark. ( I did silly monsters and a big moustache)  Arrange pieces on the top fabric. Glue is optional but very helpful because it helps hold small pieces in place while you sew them to the top.

Sew all pieces to top layer and tie threads on the back of the top layer.

Now, hide the threads by adding the bottom layer and  sew the sides together.

BOOM. You've got yourself an easy DIY gift. Place it in a book and wrap it up. =]

ENJOY!
